My writers and I decided to a very early 2009 NFL Mock Draft. We will update it every month to show player progression in college and how NFL teams have filled need positions. The first thing we did was play out the season and playoffs. Then each writer represented so many teams.

Notes about the mock draft:
1) BEFORE Eagles FANS GET ON ME:
They had the #3 pick in the draft because Carolina traded their pick for 09 in this years draft in order to move up and get Jeff Otah. That was the other trade from this years draft that affected our mock draft. The other trades listed below were all discussed during the mock draft.

Unger could very easily go in the first round. This is just an early projection, there will be updates. It all depends on the upcoming season, both NFL and NCAA.

do you really think tebow will do that good?, he is the typical bust in the college world. a qb that just runs will be out of the league in a few years. you need to stay in the pocket longer to be succesful. just look at Vince Youngs touchdown to interception rating.

Tebow is a bit of a better passer. He could be a bust in the NFL, but this is just a mock draft. There's no denying he has tons of talent, and that's what you need to be an NFL first-rounder. It will be interesting to see where he will go. He could be in the top 5, or fall out of the first day.

Tebow says he's staying for his senior year.  We'll see, I guess.  I would have Knowshon Moreno a little higher (Heisman hopeful and Georgia ranked preseason #1 would help).
