Is Campbell's Time In Washington Thin?

-This article is from OnlineSportsFanatic.com

4/28/08- Jason Campbell was the Redskins first round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He's been somewhat successful as a NFL quarterback since then.

Last year before getting injured he led the Redskins to a 6-6 record by throwing 12 TDs and 11 INTs. A lot of his low passing numbers would have to be credited to three different things.

First the Redskins play in the NFL's toughest division, the NFC East where the Cowboys won the NFC's regular season by having the best record in the conference. Next the Redskins top receiver is actually a tight end, Chris Cooley. Last but not least Campbell has not developed as a passer.

Now he has no choice.

The Washington Redskins had no first round pick during Saturday's NFL Draft. Instead they had three second rounds pick. They took Devin Thomas, a wide receiver from Michigan State many saw going as high as #11 overall to Buffalo. Next they selected Fred Davis, one of the better tight ends available from USC. Third they selected Malcolm Kelly, another receiver many saw going in the first round.

What does this all mean?

It's now or never for Jason Campbell in Washington.

If he doesn't find a way to be succsessful this season with more talent on offense then the Redskins have had to work with in a long time, then all of a sudden Washington might be trying to decide if there's a franchise quarterback available in the 2009 NFL Draft.

I love what the Redskins did. They drafted Campbell, the guy they believe can make their offense work, a lot of playmakers.

Now it's all up to him.
