QB Matt Barkley-Verbal Commitment at USC: (Video!)
Yes, it's a scary thought isn't it. Barkley has already signed and he signed with a team that is filled with talent at the QB position already. Pete Carroll has helped Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart.
As you can see in the video Barkley can make every throw. He has precise accuracy and looks like he will develop into a great college quarterback. His release is pretty quick and he has enough scrambling ability that he can get outside of the pocket and avoid sacks. He does force some throws but that can be corrected.
RB Cierre Wood-Verbal Commitment at Notre Dame: (Video!)
Notre Dame hasn't been getting as many top recruits the last few years as it usually does. This year Charlie Weis is hoping to get them back on the map. Wood is a great start, ranked #3 by Rivals.com.
In the short video I posted you can see that Wood has an amazing ability to break tackles and a nose for the endzone. His lightning quick speed allows him to turn the corner on defenders and then juke his way into the open field. He's not Noel Devine but he is very talented and will be a great player on the field in South Bend.
DT Jacobbi McDaniel-Verbal Commitment at Florida State (Video!)
McDaniel will be a great centerpiece on Florida's State defensive line for the next few years. Bobby Bowden needs players that can stop the run on defense and McDaniel appears to be that player.
He's ultra talented and fills his hole almost every play. He rarely gets caught up field and when he does get up field it's always a pass, and he's putting pressure on the quarterback. He doesn't miss tackles and appears to be one of the more talented players in this entire class.
RB Bryce Brown-Verbal Commitment at Miami (Video!)
Miami (FL) needs a big time running back. They haven't had one since Willis McGahee. Brown looks like he could be the next great Miami running back.
Brown is extremely quick and just leaves defenders in the open field. Based off the two running back videos I have seen (Brown and Wood) I like Brown better. His speed is incredible and it makes a threat any time he touches the ball, especially if he happens to find the open field.
